What Materials do you use for your dog collars?
Only the best. Retro-Pet uses ONLY quality, high-thread count
fabrics, durable side release buckles, sturdy stamped D rings, and swivel
snap hooks. All of our products are lined with a heavy-duty interfacing and
are sewn four layers thick. Translation: these sassy collars are strong,
sturdy and designed to take your pooch from a lazy day on the couch to a
rough and tumble wrestling match in the dog park.
How are your dog collars made?
The quality of your doggie's collars are important to us at Retro-Pet, we
make every one of them by hand --which is no small feat with so
many fashion-savvy pooches pining away for our funky wares. We are so
positive you and your pup will love, adore and cherish our cutie collars, we
offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are unhappy with your collar,
notice an irregularity or just plain don't like it, please let us know!
Please note that I DO NOT stock any of the items I sell on my website EXCEPT the retractable leashes - EACH item is handmade when ordered. I personally make every item I sell - the work is not out
sourced. Each item is made with the utmost attention to detail and with durability in
mind. So please note that it may take 10-15 business days to fill your order. (2 to 3 weeks)

I bought a collar last year and it no longer seems to be available--why not?
It's hard work keeping your pup looking like a fashionista! Our Retro-Pet
collars are special because we use a variety of fabrics, many of which
are vintage. We find beautiful textiles at flea markets, garage sales,
fabric store closeouts, you name it. We are always on the hunt for
beautiful, colorful new fabrics and rotate them in throughout the year. Thus, many of our collars become limited editions, making them even more super duper special.
Do you sell wholesale?
We are not currently accepting any new wholesale accounts -
How do you determine your pricing?
Doggies are not cheap--and we get it. Between the vet, the food, the
squeaky dog toys and everything else, it adds up quickly. Retro-Pet products
are priced with all this in mind and allow you to outfit your little guy or
girl with fab collars and leashes without breaking the bank.
How did Retro-Pet come to be?
Retro-Pet's mascot Lily the Dachshund was the inspiration for our debut
line. Lily is the sassiest and savviest pooch in the neighborhood and we
just could not put our mitts on a collar that came close to expressing her
individuality. Lily is hard to please, but knows what she likes when she
sees it. After searching high and low for a "Lily-worthy" collar and coming
up empty handed, we knew we had to do something drastic. Several late
nights, yards of fabric and D-rings later, Retro-Pet was born. We're
thrilled that there are so many other pups out there just as hip as
Lily now.
